About Jim Whalen
Jim Whalen has been involved with visual arts all of his life, drawing inspiration from both the world around him and his inner spiritual life and expressing it through color, line and form. -- ''Whether I'm exploring nature, or man's imprint upon it, or human emotion or spirit, color is at the foundation of the metaphor. Whether my work is representational or non-representational, I deconstruct a moment, a place, or a feeling and recreate it in line, form and color. The essential thing, for me, is to offer a visual expression of those things in our human experience that words cannot express.'' -- Jim Whalen I accept Paypal for the Purchase of Originals Paintings. Guncha Komekova
Very nice, it is my favorite topic.
Jim Whalen replied:
Thanks, Guncha. What makes this different is that it displays all the peacock patterns and colors, but is not the cliqued open tail shot.

Jim, Your site is amazing and I'm only half way through....As a young girl I acquired some peacock feathers and had them in my room against a bright pink/cherise wall and a month ago the feathers just seemed to emerge magically from one of my paintings and I put them in a pot like flowers and added an ink pot. Turquoise is my favorite color ink. In your photo the way you have aligned certain elements, the textures and colors...this is just the best of display and the contemporary eye. Wonderful work...v/f.
